Recommended Posts

First off just want to say thanks for creating this tool it already looks a very handy programme but just one issue I'm having first off is that i get a black sky when EA is on, i can only get sky colour back if i turn EA off ? Am i doing something blatantly wrong or is this a bug ? Thanks

Hi Liam,

This should not happening 🙂 Can you give us information of what exact version of Prepar3D you are using, you can find this when right clicking on your Prepar3D.exe and clicking on details

Okay thanks for the info! Is there a preset you loaded in or did you try your own settings or how did it happen?

Fixed it by reinstalling client, i forgot i had 3 modified shaders from the P3D forums that altered the sky colours im guessing these cant be used with RDShade and the programme needs the default files to work ? Its fine anyway its working cheers.

Thank you for sharing Liam!

Just a quick one on this topic, would this programme in future be able to work alongside those modded shader files or be able to replicate/edit the original files to generate the same tweaks in those files ? reason being is that those files really transform sunrise & sunset with EA on.

Thanks

This is the sky/sunset with the modded files posted above from the P3D forums, as you can see it completely eliminates the green/yellowish unrealstic look when the suns setting or rising. Hoping RDpresets can work some magic in the coming updates 😜

Hi Liam,

Because RDShade has to work in a 'controlled enviroment' to be able to insert tweaks in a way that is fool proof and never introduces issues to the user we cannot allow manual tweaks when using RDShade. However, because of this we have the community tab where people like yourself introduce and request tweaks from us. We will be quick and efficient with adding these to the software to be able to make RDShade the one stop for all users and there will be no need for manual tweaking. Like the tweaks you mentioned above, we will add those and you are good to go 🙂

I hope this answers your question!

Robin
