I've always liked EA and Volumetric clouds, but the mode is still limited for displaying weather as we know. The sim loses some weather radar and other functionality too in EA. So here is my work in progress at making non-EA look like the real thing. I use ASP3D/ASCA.

Ultimate Realism Preset

The wait is over!
After careful tweaking and evaluation with some of my peers, I would like to present to you the ULTIMATE REALISM PRESET for P3D!!!!!
This was built from the ground up which will serve as a successor to my other preset which was derived from Simflyers's Natural Preset
*Night time with EA on can be considerably brighter than real life. I tried to address is by lowering HDR brightness, and trying not to sacrifice daytime flying dynamics until it is addressed by Lockheed Martin*
REQUIRED FOR FULL REALISM:
-Lucas Cavatoni's Reshade Preset
-Activesky Cloud art (Not really but recommended, REX SKYFORCE will work too!)
-EA ON
Expect occasional updates, critiques welcome!

UPDATE: JUNE 15, 2022, PLEASE READ
I am now working on a replacement for this preset that will be built from the ground up to simulate a true, realistic flying experience on P3D. Real world photos and videos will be taken into consideration when in the process of constructing the new preset. I am aiming for true realism with respect to keeping color and life present.
This new preset will be utilizing EA and P3D's volumetric clouds to get the most out of the up to date technology introduced in V5.

Hey guys,
I've been asked a lot for my RD Shade preset so here it is! This preset is based on my IRL flying experience as a commercial pilot with my own eyes not through a camera.
I find this is the best we can have at the moment on P3D v5 with RD Shade.
Recommended:
- Prepar3D v5.3 HF2
- EA ON, clouds OFF
- REX SkyForce 3D
- Active sky for P3D v5
- HDR ON : Brightness 1.25 / Bloom 0.08 / Saturation 1.15

HDR Saturation should be set within 0.90 to 1.10 and you can adjust the HDR brightness if you think your sim is too bright 🙂
