Dirk-NL
Using my AivlaSoft EFB v.2, the EHRD airport chart is not showing the taxiways. Since this info comes out of the AFCAD (as far as I know) and the taxiways are there in the EHRD enviroment, it puzzles me what causes this. There is also a difference between the real position of the aircraft (on C3) and the one on the chart (between C2 and C3). The pic is in P3Dv4.5. I had it in P3Dv5.3 and as far as I can remember it was the same there. I cannot control it anymore because I had to uninstall P3Dv5 for performance reasons. RDPresets Staff RDPresets Support Posted February 23 RDPresets Staff Share Posted February 23 Hi Dirk, Thank you for reporting this! We haven’t had this issue reported before so we have to investigate before we know where the problem is, however it’s probably the AFCAD. Robin, Could this have something to do with the fact that I have installed it in P3Dv4.5? If I remember well... in P3Dv5.3 it was the same. I cannot check that anymore because v5 is no longer in use. Too heavy for my hardware. Dirk
RDPresets Staff RDPresets Support Posted February 27 RDPresets Staff Share Posted February 27 Hi Dirk, This could make a difference because we developed the scenery in P3D V5 meaning there could be some compatibility issues with V4. kind regards Robin

Hi Robin, From what I know and what I've seen from other developers (like f.i. ORBX) the difference between v4 and v5 is more on the graphic display side than on the basic ground setup design of the airport. But since you designed EHRD, you will probably be the first to know if those differences are of any influence. What puzzles me, is how the airport works visually, including all taxiways and parkings (also those of GA) in v4 while I only cannot see the taxiways of both on my EFB. One more thing, When I select the airport and select the location C3, then on the chart the aircraft does not show on C3 spot on, but a bit aside. This might lead you to find the smoking gun. kind regards Dirk Edited February 28 by Dirk-NL
Dirk-NL
I've been playing around a bit and I think I have a lead..... When I installed your EHRD in a separate directory (not the default \Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons) but in D:\AddOnAirports it is completely ignored by the EFB database buildup. Probably because it is not listed in scenery.cfg and not in add-ons.cfg. The fact that there is a mismatch on the location as I mentioed before, I think the placing of an aircraft f.i. on C3 is by the default P3Dv4 EHRD and not by your software. I remember, long time ago, in FSX I had Aerosoft's EHRD and aircraft were parked with the nose to north! This is the way they park in real life and probably the way they park in your software. When I installed your EHRD on the default location ( \Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons) and select it in v4 'EHRD and location C3', the aircraft ends up with the nose south which is like in the default v4 EHRD. So my rough guess is that the problem has something to do with install procedures which also might clarify the missing taxyways on the chart. It is not unusual to install add-on airports on another location than default one. After all, that is an option during the install procedure. For ORBX I use D;\ORBX Files and their install procedure takes care to add it to the add-ons.cfg in the AppData area. I'll just wait with a next install until I hear from you. RDPresets Staff RDPresets Support Posted February 28 RDPresets Staff Share Posted February 28 Hi Dirk, I think you are correct, we never tested EHRD with AivlaSoft EFB v.2. However as we do not develop scenery / addons for P3D anymore the airport will stay the same going forward, maybe you can get it to work a different way or using a work around but unfortunately the airport was not developed with AivlaSoft EFB v.2 in mind.
